How subscription cancellation, downgrade, billing portal access, and refund requests work for TechCertAI.

Managing your plan
Subscription upgrades start through checkout. Downgrades and cancellations are handled securely through the Stripe customer portal from Settings.
When you cancel, Stripe controls whether access continues until the end of the billing period or changes immediately based on the configured subscription behavior.
Downgrades
Downgrading to a lower paid tier or canceling to Free may change available certifications, daily quiz limits, monthly practice exam limits, and team seat access.
Stripe may apply prorations, credits, or billing-period changes depending on the portal configuration active at the time of the change.
Refund requests
If you believe a charge was made in error, contact support with the account email, charge date, and reason for the request.
Refunds are reviewed case by case. Approved refunds are processed through Stripe and can take several business days to appear depending on your payment method.
Failed payments
If a payment fails, Stripe may retry the charge and TechCertAI may restrict paid-plan features until billing is resolved.
You can update payment details through the Stripe customer portal when available.
